Pacifica police got an unusual call over the weekend when someone called to report that saw what they thought was a human body part washing ashore.
They got the call at 3:15 p.m. Sunday. When police arrived they found a human foot on Rockaway Beach.
They turned the foot over to the San Mateo County coroner's office.
Police said they searched the beach for additional remains, but found nothing.
It wasn't clear if the coroner was going to be able to make an identification.
