Hundreds Mourn, Attend Vigil for Gilroy Student Killed in Crash

Hundreds of students gathered in Gilroy late Monday for a candlelight vigil to remember Sara Jean Williams, one of three 18-year-old girls killed in a single-car accident last week.

"These are dark days of death covered by the somber cloud of tragedy," said Paul Winslow, principal at Christopher High School in Gilroy. "Sara gave one last gift before passing -- that gift was hope."

Williams, who was a senior at Christopher High, was one of four people who died in car crash on May 12 in Gilroy.

The driver, 23-year-old Anthony Imbronone III of Gilroy, is the only person to survive the crash. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, but has yet to be charged with a crime.
