Traffic along I-80 in Fairfield slowed toward the scene, but the crash did not cover any actual lanes of the highway.
A ride on a tour bus turned very scary for dozens of people Monday afternoon along I-80 in Fairfield.
The California Highway Patrol said for some unknown reason the bus driver swerved off the highway and onto a frontage road at 4:23 p.m.
Some 13 people on the bus suffered some kind of injury and had to be treated at the scene. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
A news helicopter above the bus showed damage to the front window of the bus and a few dozen people standing near it, apparently waiting for another ride.
A huge tow truck was also the scene and was hooking up to the tour bus at 5:45 p.m.
