In the Emerald Triangle, the annual ritual continues.

Mendocino County sheriff's deputies seized 170 pounds of marijuana and 187 marijuana plants in a bust at a Redwood Valley home on Tuesday, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Melanie Hargis, 29, was arrested on suspicion of drug charges. Mostly marijuana-related, the newspaper reported.

Deputies also arrested Jedidiah Jones, 33, when he arrived at jail to bail out Hargis, the newspaper reported.

The pair's home on Pepperwood Court was searched on Sunday. Narcotics were also discovered. They are in jail on $30,000 bail.
