Instant Millionaire in Salinas

Someone who bought a California Lottery ticket at a Salinas market has won $37 million, lottery officials announced Sunday.

The winner matched all six numbers in Saturday night's SuperLotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Las Lomas Market and Gas, located at 307 San Juan Grade Road.  That is just north of the mall and a little too far off of Highway 101 to be purchased by someone driving up the highway.

The winning numbers are 18, 42, 22, 12, 1 and the Mega number is  18.

By the way, lottery officials are still looking for a lucky winner who bought a winning ticket in San Jose worth $20 million.

The ticket was purchased in February at a 7-Eleven on Bascom north of Hamilton. Those winning numbers are 19, 29, 36, 37, 41, and the Mega number is 20.

Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.  The Salinas ticket clock starts now.  The San Jose clock is already two months in with a deadline of September.
