Ja Rule and Ashanti Pair Up for Valentine's Day Show in San Francisco

Ja Rule and Ashanti will couple up to spend Valentine's Day in San Francisco -- on stage, at least.

The hip-hop star and R&B singer known for early 2000 hits like "Always on Time" have booked a rare gig at SF nightclub 1015 on Feb. 14.

Event promoter Noah Bennett (aka DJ Dials) told NBC Bay Area that he's worked to make this show happen for a year. He's also booked SoSouperSam, SIIK and Partytime from Los Angeles and locals Sean G, CandyRain, White Mike and the Motown on Mondays DJs.

Ja Rule and Ashanti's local appearance may offer a taste of a tour the two have been talking about cooking up for several months. Ja Rule mentioned to Billboard in September that they wanted to tour the world under the name Natural Born Killers and film a musical along the way.

"It's been a long time in the making," he told the publication.

Tickets to the 1015 performance start at $50 for general admission and go up to $1,520 for entry and bottle service for 10.
