Jail, Anger Management For Nordstrom Rack Shopper Who Threw Punch to Quiet 2-Year-Old

A woman who punched a shopper after being told to quiet her crying toddler at a Nordstrom Rack south of San Francisco has been sentenced to four months in jail.

Twenty-eight-year-old Terrie Elzie was also ordered on Tuesday to complete an anger-management program and serve three years of probation.

Authorities say the November incident began when Elzie's 2-year-old nephew started crying loudly in front of Natalie Bree Hajek-Richardson while they were standing in a checkout line.

After Hajek-Richardson made a comment about the wailing toddler, the two women got into an argument that then continued in the parking lot.

Authorities say Elzie punched the woman repeatedly, pushed her to the ground and sat on her before leaving. The incident was captured on surveillance video.
