A white Jeep smashed into a taxi in San Francisco early Tuesday morning after a witness said it ran a red light. Police detained one passenger and are looking for the driver and another passenger who ran away.
The crash was reported about 3:30 a.m. at Octavia and Fell Streets. Police said the taxi driver and the passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Witness Nathan Cracraft told NBC Bay Area he saw the Jeep run through a red light. "Some guy ran a red light into the taxi cab," he said. "I saw it, I was walking my dogs."
Police confirmed the Jeep broadsided the taxi.
