Jimmy Fallon Marks One Year as “Tonight Show” Host

One year since he took over “The Tonight Show,” Jimmy Fallon is still learning on the fly. His likability has never been stronger, but neither has the pressure.

His competition is changing. David Letterman will soon be out and Stephen Colbert in. So, in 12 quick months, Fallon has gone from promising rookie to market leader.

“It’s going well,” Fallon said. “I just don’t wanna jinx anything … No one talks about it on set. Everything’s working. We all have jobs. Once you’re not getting calls from the network, that’s a good sign. That means everyone’s happy.”
