49er legend Joe Montana will kick things off for ESPN's Monday Night Football.

ESPN is already hyping Monday night's showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers as the biggest game on the network all season.

Now the worldwide sports leader is pulling out one of the NFL's biggest names to kick off the nationally televised game at 5:30 p.m. in San Francisco.

Joe Montana will do his best Hank Williams Jr. impersonation to lead into the football game.

ESPN pulled the plug on former Monday Night Football lead-in Hank Williams Jr. after he compared President Barack Obama to Hitler.

Since then, Monday Night Football has been kicked-off by a local celebrity in each town that is hosting the weekly game.

Barry Sanders helped get the party started when Detroit hosted Monday Night Football earlier this season and now Montana will do the same.
