Naso Says He Was Not Allowed to Present Critical Information at Trial

NBC Bay Area

Convicted serial killer Joseph Naso acted as his own attorney during his trial.

Convicted killer Joseph Naso claimed he did not get to present some critical information during his trial, despite representing himself.

Naso sent a letter to our sister station in Reno. That letter, dated the day before he was found guilty on four counts of murder, claims one of his alleged victims could have been killed by a pimp motivated by revenge.

He also claims the Oakland prostitute had "unknown enemies."

While Naso points out other possible suspects in the two page letter, he never proclaimed his innocence.

The penalty phase of his trial starts Wednesday in Marin County.
