Local Artist's New Shirt Eulogizes a Changing San Francisco

Artist Joshua Bruner's new "I Miss SF" t-shirt for San Francisco's True Clothing offers up a wearable tribute to a changing San Francisco.

Bruner's design eulogizes SF institutions big and small that have shuttered over the past decades, including Candlestick Park, Doggy Diner, Playland at the Beach and The Coronet Theater.

The bottom of the design says, "if you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading."

Bruner wrote that the shirt is a statement on how gentrification has gone hand in hand with the displacement of scores of multicultural businesses, venues and collectives that have shuttered in San Francisco over the past decades.

"There is no balance here anymore, and it makes me miss San Francisco," Bruner said on the True blog.
