San Francisco police said they arrested two people in connection to a robbery of a KRON news crew.

Armani McFarland, 19, of San Francisco was arrested on two counts of robbery, conspiracy, and a firearm charge, according to police.

John Woods, 19, of San Francisco faces charges of robbery and conspiracy, according to police

Both were in custody with the Sheriff's Department.

Police said the two robbed a reporter identified by KRON as Jeff Bush Friday night at 8 p.m. in a high-crime neighborhood of the city.

During the attempted robbery, a security guard who was working for the station fired his gun. No one on the news crew was injured in the robbery or shooting, Sgt. Danielle Newman told Bay City News.

KRON anchor Pam Moore announced on the 11 p.m. news that the robbery happened while Bush was working in the city Friday night. She said Bush gave the robbers want they wanted and took cover.

Moore said the guard opened fire and hit one of the men who was robbing them.

Police said Saturday that one of the subjects was treated at SF General for a non-life gunshot injury. They did not identify which person was hit.

Moore thanked viewers for their concern and assured them the KRON crew was unharmed.

The holdup is the latest in a series of robberies of San Francisco Bay Area news crews.
