LA Public Defender Arrested After Drunken SFO Outburst

This Southern California lawyer needs an attorney.

A Los Angeles public defender was arrested after she caused a "drunken ruckus" that included bites, kicks and a demand for cocaine at San Francisco International Airport on Tuesday, according to reports.

Monica Marie Jenkins was charged with five misdemeanors, including assault on an officer, by the San Mateo District Attorney, the Examiner is reporting.

Jenkins, 37, who was attempting to fly to Los Angeles, was reportedly so drunk she was not allowed to board her flight, the newspaper reported.

She declined "sobering up and catching a later flight" and instead "demanded to be  taken to jail."

On the way, she threatened to sue cops, sang "Rock Around the Clock," and "did kick another officer" in the midst of an "obscenity-laced tirade," the newspaper reported.

In jail, however, she "tried to bite a nurse."

She's been released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on July 14.
