A man was shot in a car at 32nd and Adeline streets in West Oakland at around 4:15 a.m. The victim called police himself and was conscious when he was taken to the hospital.
The car itself is not shot and is parked on 32nd Street. The car appears to be new, with temporary license plates.
Southbound lanes at Adeline Street are closed as police seek witnesses. Evidence technicians are en route to the scene.
