The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-Alert Monday morning when a power line fell across a major Silicon Valley artery.

According the CHP log, a power line in Sunnyvale burst into flames just after 6 a.m., prompting officials to close all lanes of State Route 85 in both directions. The road re-opened about 7:40 a.m.

Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to the scene, confirming the wires were "live."
