A 14-year-old Los Gatos boy was killed in jet ski crash at Bass Lake, a popular summer getaway just south of Yosemite National Park.
Investigators said the boy, identified as Kyle Farr, along with an 18 year old were aboard a Sea-Doo late Wednesday when they hit a moored pontoon boat.
Farr was thrown into the water from the collision and later died, officials said.
Neighbors said Farr and his family have a home at Bass Lake and visit often.
Wednesday's fatal accident is the second jet ski-related death at Bass Lake this week.
