Chico native Wayne Houchin, a magician by trade, went on Dominican television -- where they set his head on fire, according to reports.

Houchin was a guest on a television show wherein a host poured "flaming Aqua de Florida cologne on his head," according to the Chico Enterprise Record.

He suffered "severe burns" to his head, face, neck, and right hand, according to the UK Telegraph. He told followers that he was recovering but considered the cologne dousing a "criminal act."

Houchin was in the Dominican Republic to promote his "Curiosidades" show, according to reports.
