San Jose police are searching for a man who is suspected of holding a girl at gunpoint and pistol whipping another student at Silver Creek High School.

Dispatchers at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday received a report of a person injured on the 3400 block of Silver Creek road. When officers arrived they located two students suffering from injuries.

The female victim told police she was approached by an armed man who tried to take her iPad. The man took off after he used a handgun to attack a teenage boy who was trying to help the girl, police said.

Both students are expected to be OK, officials said.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s with no facial hair and no tattoos. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater with front zipper, jeans, blue underwear and brown belt.
