Man Busted At SFO With 7 Pounds of Marijuana Claims “Personal Use”

Sonoma man caught red-handed with bags full of green.

It was just a secret stash -- all seven pounds of it.

A Sonoma County man caught trying to board a JetBlue flight with seven pounds of marijuana tried to pass off the stash as "personal use," according to the San Francisco Examiner.

Now Kenneth Gibson, 46, of Sebastopol is trying to fend of charges of being a drug dealer in court.

Gibson tried to fly to Boston on Feb. 1 for a five-day trip. His bags, sent through the carry-on X-ray machine, raised flags when screeners saw the "numerous packages of 'biological material,'" according to the newspaper.

Gibson present a legal and valid medical marijuana ID card, but the brief trip and "elaborate packaging" -- each pound was double-bagged and vacuum-sealed -- raised suspicions.

His trial is now continuing.
