A man died Sunday night after suffering severe injuries when he fell from the roof of a San Francisco home during a Bay to Breakers house party.

David Hamzeh, of San Francisco, an employee at the San Francisco-based software company DemandForce, fell from the roof of a home on the 2000 block of Fell Street at 3:30 p.m. where he had been celebrating with friends and co-workers, according to employees at his company.

Hamzeh was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The incident appears to be among the most serious reported during the race and subsequent
celebrations.
