Man Exposes Himself to Jogger in San Mateo, Police Looking for Leads

A woman says that a man exposed himself to her on Wednesday in San Mateo, and police want the public’s help finding that man.

The 51-year-old woman was jogging alone on a path between buildings around 6 p.m. in the 2000 block of East Third Avenue when a man allegedly called out to her, according to police. Police said the woman turned and saw the man exposing his genitals.

The woman became frightened and ran as the man reached out as if he was trying to grab her, police said. Police said he did not touch her, but the woman stumbled and fell near the man.

The woman yelled for help and startled the suspect who fled south on the path, according to police. Police said the woman got to her feet and ran home to report the crime.

Police are describing the suspect as a white or Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 170 pounds wearing a button-up shirt and slacks.
