A man died in San Jose Friday after being shot at least once by unknown suspects, police said.
Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about 8 p.m. to reports of a person shot in the 2600 block of Alum Rock Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are withholding the name of the person until his next of kin can be notified.
After the police department's initial response, the department turned over the investigation to its homicide unit.
