Man Suffers Head Injuries After Being Struck by Muni in SF

A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition in San Francisco on Monday morning after he was struck by a Muni light-rail train, a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesman said.

Muni spokesman Paul Rose said the man suffered head and facial injuries when he was struck by the side of the T-Third train near the intersection of Third Street and Carroll Avenue at about 5:10 a.m.

The crash caused delays because northbound Third Street was blocked. The SFMTA set up a bus bridge from Sunnydale Avenue to Williams Avenue. Service was restored by 7:30 a.m.
