March Madness Returning to SAP Center, Scheduled to Host West Regional

The college basketball season has yet to tip off, but folks in the Bay Area can lock in their chance to witness two rounds of the sport's wild and unpredictable postseason tournament right in their backyard beginning Saturday.

SAP Center in downtown San Jose is slated to host two Sweet 16 games on Mar. 23 and one Elite Eight matchup two days later on Mar. 25, according to a press release.

Pre-sale ticket sales begin Thursday before the general public can jump in on the action Saturday at 10 a.m. Tickets are limited and officials say that the available seats sell quickly, according to a press release.

This will not be the first time the South Bay City has hosted March Madness games. Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games hit the hardwood in San Jose back in 2007. Most recently, SAP Center was home to first and second round contests in 2013.
