Martial Arts Loser Attacks Opponent's Face

In an act reminiscent of the "sweep the leg" scene from "Karate Kid," a sore loser in a San Jose Taekwondo match, attacked his opponent over the weekend.

A 16-year-old Florida boy bowed, and shook hands with the 16-year-old winner of the close match, but later returned to kick the other boy in the face so hard, he required immediate surgery, reports the Merc.

The Miami Lakes boy was booked, on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, but being neither a gang member or immediate threat, he was only cited, then released to his parents.

He told authorities he was upset with the judge's rulings.

The injured teen is currently recovering at the family's home near New York City.
