Massive Rock Fall Closes Popular Yosemite Trail

Rancheria Falls access blocked by landslide.

A popular hiking trail in Yosemite National Park was shut down March 31, thanks to 16,000 tons of rock falling on it, according to reports.

The massive rockfall along Rancheria Falls Trail shut it down east of the Wapama Falls bridge, the Los Angeles Times reported.

No injuries were reported, though the fall did kick up a massive amount of dust along the trail, which rings Hetch Hetchy Reservoir.
