Peter Camejo, Green Party Candidate

Friends and family are holding a public memorial service in Berkeley today for the life of Green Party activist Peter Camejo.

Camejo died in September after a long battle with the cancer lymphoma.

In 2004, independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader, who is scheduled to speak at the memorial, chose Camejo as his running mate.

Camejo also served as a gubernatorial candidate three times in California.

He was known as an environmentalist and civil rights activist and will be remembered the International House on the University of California, Berkeley.
