Men Held in San Jose's 7th Homicide To Be Arraigned Wednesday

San Jose police say Joseph Cadle was killed Saturday.

Three men accused of killing a 22-year-old in San Jose over the weekend are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon.

Two of the suspects arrested on charges of killing Joseph Cadle have previous adult criminal records, according to court documents.

Alain Calvillo, 20; Filberto Barreto Lopez, 20; and Francisco Bartolo Chavez, 23, are accussed of stabbing Cadle Saturday in the 1800 block of Sarasota Way.

Officer Jose Garcia called the killing "gang related."

Court records showed that Lopez previously plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of having a dagger and Chavez had two prior felonies and a gang registration order.

Calvillo was arrested for the first time as an adult, according to court records.

Other than being gang-related, police have not released a specific motive for the killing.

The three men were arrested at about 11:14 p.m. Saturday night after officers found them in the area of S. King and Story roads.

The killing was the city's seventh homicide of the year.
