Milpitas police are investigating a homicide this holiday weekend.
Police said the officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Main Street around 3:45 a.m. Monday morning to the report of a shooting.
There, they found a 43-year-old local man on the ground with a gunshot wound. The unnamed victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said they could not release many other details on the shooting, but are asking any who has information to call them at 408-586-2400.
