The last of five juvenile suspects who escaped from a detention facility for teenage boys Saturday night is safely back in custody this morning, according to police.
The Morgan Hill Police Department announced Sunday morning that Anthony Ruezga, 17, of San Jose, had been taken into custody and safely returned to the Santa Clara County William F. James Boys Ranch.
At 9:14 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a request by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department to assist in the apprehension of five juveniles who escaped from the juvenile center, located at 19050 Malaguerra Ave., according to police.
At 11:17 p.m., authorities were able to locate four of the five boys and took them back into custody, police said.
Police identified Ruezga, who doesn't have a violent history, as the juvenile who remained at large.
Ruezga was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and boxer shorts, police reported Saturday. He is approximately 6 feet and 1 inch to 6 feet and 2 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a tattoo of an "S" on one arm and a "J" on the other, they added.
