A motorcyclist slid into several pedestrians in San Francisco on Wednesday night in San Francisco, sending the cyclist and two others to the hospital.

San Francisco police said the collision occurred about 9:10 p.m. at the intersection of 3rd and and Market streets.

Officer Grace Gatapandan said that it appears as though the motorcyclist struck one person who was on the sidewalk and another who was in the crosswalk area. One pedestrian sustained a head injury that is possibly life threatening, and the second pedestrian got some cuts to the head but is expected to survive, police said. The condition of the motorcyclist is still unknown.

The department’s traffic unit will be handling the investigation to figure out what happened, including reviewing surveillance cameras in the area.
