Mountain View CVS Pharmacy Evacuated Upon Discovery of Suspicious Device

A bomb squad gave the all-clear after investigating a suspicious device at a Mountain View pharmacy Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The Mountain View Police Department announced via Twitter at 1:37 p.m. that a suspicious device had been located inside the CVS pharmacy at 2630 West El Camino Real.

The store was evacuated, police said, and the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office bomb squad offered assistance.

Around 3:30 p.m., the city's police announced via Twitter that the bomb squad examined the device and deemed it safe. The store would be reopened shortly, they said.
