Muni's N-Judah Line Gets “Missed Connections”-Style Website

A new site is facilitating relationships between strangers on a train.

Taking a cue from Craigslist's "Missed Connections" section, We Met On The N is a new site aiming to bring people together for love. Anonymous users can post a missive to someone they saw or talked to while riding Muni's N-Judah line in hopes of receiving a response.

As SFGate notes, only some users have taken the site seriously: "So far, We Met On The N is basically hipsters plus one troll who posted about a homeless person. So good luck finding love!"

But the responses appear to be getting more earnest, if quirky.

"Dear Beautiful, Even if every other seat had been empty on that San Francisco bound megabus, I would have sat next to you," reads one entry from Monday. "We enjoyed our conversation. But you didn't like my name because it is the same as the guy you just divorced a month ago. That's OK. I have others. You declined to keep in contact. Then I saved you from the mumbling burn victim acting aggressively on the N platform. We enjoyed our ride on the N. You chose one of my other names and gave me your number."

Named after railroad engineer Theodore Judah, the N-Judah carries an average of more than 41,000 passengers per day, according to the SFMTA.
