The man who stripped naked and attacked firefighters in Hayward was under the influence of PCP, according to reports.

Here's the set up:

  • Naked man
  • First responders
  • Attack

Where there's fire, there's PCP, so to speak.

The 43-year old Hayward man who stripped naked and attacked firefighters with fists and obscenities on Monday was under the influence of PCP, according to the Oakland Tribune.

Firefighters responded to a call of a bicyclists being struck by a car on Monday evening, the newspaper reported. When they showed up at the 300 block of Lion Street in Hayward, no victims could be found -- but firefighters then received a call that the victim was at a nearby home.

So firefighters went there and asked the man to show them his injuries. Instead, he stripped off his shoes and ran outside, the newspaper reported, and by the "look in his eyes" they knew he was "on something."

The man jumped onto a fire truck and hit two firefighters who attempted to pull him off in front of a crowd of spectators. He was taken to a local hospital and faces assault charges.

Kids, don't take PCP and then call the fire department. Better yet, don't take it at all.
