Napa Demolishes Oakville Cross Bridge After Earthquake Damage

A bridge damaged by last month’s light earthquake in Napa will come down on Monday.

The Oakville Cross bridge suffered cracks and other damage. It’s been shut down since May’s 4.1-magnitude quake centered in Yountville.

There was already a plan in place to demolish the bridge, but the quake sped up the timeline. The hope is to have a new bridge open by New Year’s Day 2016.
