Netflix Customers Find a New Reason to Get Angry

AP

A streaming outage did not impress too many already angry Netflix fans Sunday evening.

One way not to assuage customer displeasure with your company after raising rates is to have a service disruption.

Just a week after announcing it would raise some of subscription rates, Netflix's streaming service was down Sunday evening.

The Los Gatos-based company told subscribers last week it will increase the price for its unlimited streaming and DVD subscription from $9.99 a month to $15.98 a month. The jump marks an almost 60 percent increase for the service.

The company acknowledge in a tweet early Monday morning that its streaming service was unavailable for much of the evening Sunday.

The service has since been restored but not before angry customers took to Twitter to complain about the outage.
