Netflix Given Permission to Build New Campus

Despite some protest, the Los Gatos Town Council voted to approve the construction of a new campus for Netflix.

The movie-renting and streaming company will build a new campus on a 21.5 acre lot at the intersection of Albright Way and Winchester Boulevard.

Some Los Gatos residents expressed concern over the new campus because of the proposed heights of the new buildings, which some said would block their views of the surrounding mountains, and the removal of mature trees to make room for the buildings.

The new buildings were given a height exception by the city to reach up to 85 feet, which is higher than the current mandate of 35 feet.

One of the major concerns centered around the traffic that the larger campus would bring to the area.
