Computer, Tapes, DVDs Seized in Garrido Probe

Detectives search 3 Bay Area properties

As part of an ongoing investigation of suspected kidnapper Phillip  Garrido, Contra Costa County sheriff's detectives searched three properties  in Pittsburg, Bay Point and Pleasant Hill Wednesday that were connected to an  "associate" of Garrido's, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.

Contra Costa County investigators questioned the owners of Pittsburg's JM Auto Wreckers. At the same time, investigators were also raiding their Pittsburg home, where tenant Cheyvonne Molino lives.

Investigators are looking into the business relationship the Molinos had with Philip Garrido. Molino said Garrido would visit the yard with his two daughters, who Garrido is suspected of fathering. Garrido recently credited JM Enterprizes as a sponsor on one of his fliers promoting his company, "God's Desire."

Molino said investigators took away her computer, video tapes and DVDs. The Molinos say they believe investigators have abused their authority and have turned their lives upside down.

"That's all that they can come up with. You can't come up with anything else. My life for the last two weeks has been an open book. And that's all you can come up with." Molino says."My house is bare. My house was ransacked, our house, our clothes. We are unable to sleep. We have people following us."

Investigators would not comment on what they were specifically looking for in the search but they say the Molinos are not suspects in the case. The Molinos say they were looking for evidence connected to child pornography.

Lee said that Molino is on probation, so deputies did not need a warrant to search the properties.

Garrido, 58, and his wife Nancy Garrido, 55, allegedly abducted  11-year-old Jaycee Dugard from a school bus stop near her South Lake Tahoe  home on the morning of June 10, 1991.

Dugard, now 29, was allegedly forced to live for 18 years in a  series of makeshift sheds and tents in the backyard of the Garridos' home on  Walnut Avenue in unincorporated Contra Costa County just outside Antioch.

Phillip and Nancy Garrido have been charged with 29 felonies, including kidnapping, forcible rape and false imprisonment.

After their arrests, the FBI and local law enforcement agencies,  including the sheriff's office, Pittsburg police and Antioch police conducted an extensive search of the Garridos' property seeking to link him to other  crimes.
