New Unauthorized Dugard Photos Surface

National Enquirer, Globe Have Purchased Pictures

The spokeswoman for Jaycee Dugard is saddened by new, unauthorized photographs of Dugard and her daughters that are being offered up for sale to media outlets.

Nancy Seltzer told KCRA in Sacramento the photos were taken last weekend.

She said she doesn't know who took the photographs, but a U.S. photo agency is selling the pictures.

Seltzer also said the National Enquirer and Globe magazines confirmed they purchased the pictures but have agreed to blur the faces of the daughters.

Seltzer said in a statement: "While I thank those publications choosing to blur the images of Jaycee's daughters' faces, I can only feel shame for those who took the photos and who think this is right."

The photo attached to this article is one Jaycee allowed to be published in People Magazine.

Phillip and Nancy Garrido are charged with kidnapping Dugard from her South Lake Tahoe home when she was 11 years old, then holding her in captivity for nearly two decades and repeatedly raping her.

Dugard bore two daughters to Garrido in captivity.

She and the girls were discovered nearly a year ago.

Seltzer also told KCRA that Dugard and her daughters are trying to lead as normal a life as possible.

She said Dugard is a fabulous writer who writes every week. She said her writings may take a public form in the future.

Seltzer said Dugard also would like to form a non-profit organization someday to benefit victims of violent crimes.

Dugard's alleged captors, the Garridos, have pleaded not guilty to the crimes.
