Accused Meth Dealer's Run from Justice Ends with Arrest in San Jose

Police apprehend meth dealer after much ado.

A Newark man indicted for dealing methamphetamine was arrested in San Jose after nine months on the run, according to police and reports.

Menlo Park narcotics investigators first fingered John Sellers, 48, for methamphetamine dealing and trailed him Monday from a home in Newark to a gas station in San Jose, where he was apprehended, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

He was on the lam since a November indictment in federal court for dealing methaphetamine and also possessing a shotgun, according to a police press release.

Cops used tips as well as surveillance to figure out where Sellers lived -- and then spent much time stalking him before they were able to spring their trap.

"We're going to find you," said acting Cmdr. Eric Cowans of the Menlo Park Police Department, who spent "four days...18 hours" a day looking for Sellers. "It's a matter of time; you can only hide for so long."
