No Brakes for Bay to Breakers

It looks like San Francisco's 12K footrace known for its crazy costumes will live to see at least two more years.

Bay To Breakers may have a new sponsor.  Organizers will reportedly announce that Redwood City based Zazzle will sponsor this year's race.

The online store is taking over title sponsorship from insurance giant ING - which stepped out last year, in part, because of rowdy behavior during the race.  People living along the race route had complained about drunken behavior.

This year, organizers are cracking down on the craziness.  Alcohol and floats are banned - and registration is now closed.  It was capped at 50,000.

Without a sponsor, organizers were losing money and questions surfaced over whether the race would survive.  Now that Zazzle has stepped in, those fears are over for now.
