Oakland police investigate six shootings in ten hours.

Oakland police on Monday are investigating six separate shottings throughout the city within the last ten hours.

The first shooting was reported Sunday about 2:50 p.m., and appeard to be a shootout outside the federal building downtown, police said. A suspect was arrested and a gun was recovered, but it is unclear whether police can connect the suspect to the shooting, police said.

The most serious of the shootings was reported at 11:15 p.m. The victim was shot in the chest, police said, and he was taken to the hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.
