A man arrested in the scrum and hullabaloo following the San Francisco Giants' World Series win in Oct. 2012 has been acquitted of setting a dumpster on fire, according to reports.
Brian Irwin, 22, was arrested Oct. 29, 2012, after allegedly running from police, flipping them "the bird," and setting a dumpster on fire following a flight from AT&T Park, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
Cops gave chase and tackled Irwin to the ground on Mission Street following a run through Yerba Buena Gardens, the newspaper reported. He was accused of spitting blood on police officers' faces -- but police gave conflicting testimony at trial, and he was acquitted.
In a statement, Public Defender Jeff Adachi said that there was "zero physical evidence" connecting Irwin to the fire.
