Oakland SWAT teams are moving in on a suspect that has barricaded himself in a residence in the Fruitvale neighborhood, police said.

Oakland SWAT teams were moving in on a suspect that had barricaded himself in a residence in the Fruitvale neighborhood Monday morning, police said.

Oakland police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said the situation started early Monday morning in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Capp Street.

Police had established a command post at the corner of Fruitvale and Brookdale Avenues, police said.
   
Watson said the suspect is wanted in a domestic dispute and is believed to be armed. There is possibly a child in the residence with him, Watson said.
