Police: Online Furniture Store In San Jose Is Giant Marijuana Grow

Fake furniture store rents big warehouse with real marijuana grow.

A large San Jose warehouse hawking itself as an online furniture retailer was revealed this week to be a large marijuana grow, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

It was the warehouse's landlord who dropped the dime when he made a maintenance check at the 3000 block of Charter Park Drive in San Jose and discovered that plants, not chairs and tables, populated the building, according to the newspaper.

Cops said they found 200 plants and 150 pounds of the drug, including 50 pounds "ready for sale," the newspaper reported.

The warehouse was rented by people claiming to operate onlinefurniturebuy.com, which in fact sells no furniture, detectives discovered.

Cops are seeking the operators of the grow. No suspects have been anounced, the newspaper reported.
