A woman who runs a dog-sitting business in Burlingame is accused of abusing a client's dog.
Graphic footage recorded by a neighbor shows the business owner grabbing a small dog by its neck and slamming it against the ground.
Investigators with the Peninsula Humane Society are working to build a case against the woman who, investigators said, runs a dog-sitting business in Burlingame.
Animal care workers have seized 11 dogs from the woman. Eight of them are clients' dogs and three are her own.
The Humane Society said they will only return her dogs after she proves that she can take care of them properly.
Investigators are not revealing her identity because she has not been charged with a crime. But the District Attorney said animal abuse can be charged as a misdemeanor or felony.
