Palo Alto Man Arrested on Suspicion of Indecent Exposure

A Palo Alto man has been arrested in connection with two indecent exposure incidents in Seale Park that took place in early August, police said Friday.

Cory Jacobs, 37, was arrested Saturday on two counts of suspicion of lewd conduct.

Police said officers responded Aug. 1 at 5 p.m. to Seale Park at 3100 Stockton Place on a call of an indecent exposure incident.

Two women told police they saw a man walking through the park with his penis exposed through the open zipper of his pants.

Police weren't able to locate the suspect, but one of the victims worked with a sketch artist, and police sent out a sketch of the suspect on Aug. 2.

Later on Aug. 2, police received several complaints about a man lewdly rubbing his groin at different locations throughout Palo Alto.

Police said officers responded to the playground area of Johnson Park at 251 Waverley St. and found Jacobs in the park. He was interviewed by officers and released.

Police said a follow-up investigation linked Johnson to the
previous indecent exposure incidents, so a warrant was issued for his arrest Saturday. Deputies from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office took him into custody later that day.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents is asked to contact police at 650-329-2413 or anonymously at 650-383-8984.
