P.F. Chang’s China Bistro released a list of 33 restaurants Monday where a security breach involving stolen data from certain credit and debit cards used at those locations was compromised, including eight stores in California – one in the Bay Area.
The popular chain restaurant announced in June that an on-going investigation found thousands of customer’s who dined at certain locations were at risk for having information stolen after using their credit or debit cards as payment.
“The potentially stolen credit and debit card data includes the card number and in some cases also the cardholder's name and/or the card's expiration date,” according to a statement released by the restaurant Monday.
The 33-location list includes addresses of the restaurants impacted and dates when the security breach may have occurred. The chain's Palo Alto location is among those on the list.
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro has been encouraging customers to remain “vigilant” and to check their credit card and bank statements, as well as report any kind of suspicious activity to financial institutions.
