A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with what appears to be a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus Wednesday night, emergency officials said.
The collision occurred near Howard and Beale streets at around 7:45 p.m., police said.
Police said they responded to reports of a possible vehicle collision and found a 60-year-old woman in the roadway suffering from injuries.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesman said the collision appears to have involved a Muni bus on the inbound 38-Limited bus line.
The SFPD's hit an run detail was called to the scene to investigate.
